Attained Short-term QIP-sponsored course on “Frequency Domain Control System Design & Experiments”, During July 31 – August 4, 2017. The course Organized by:- Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur
Kanpur – 208 016, Uttar Pradesh.

Objectives of course:-

The short-term course was to provide a sense of frequency-domain control system design techniques through interactive lectures and hands-on experiments. The course provides to gain confidence in building control systems using simple tools, and learn ways to save money on teaching and research of control systems. The short-term course will see simple ways in which to do practically useful research in control systems. Each course day comprises roughly 1.5 hours of research lectures, 2 hours of hands-on practice of the theory, and 2.5 hours of experiments

Outcomes of the Course

  • Design: Have Bode plots-based techniques to design SISO control systems reinforced.
  • Building: Gain confidence in designing and building control systems.
  • Saving money: Learn ways to save money on control systems experiments.
  • Research: See simple ways to do practically useful research in control systems.

Training of Trainers course on “Solar PV installation

Attained Training of Trainers Programme- course on “Solar PV installation”, During    22 May – 31 May, 2017. The course Organized by: – MITCON Consultancy in association with Skill Council for Green Jobs & National Institute for Solar Energy Government of India.

Prof.J.S.Shastri & Prof.N.M.Deokar for Electrical Engineering department has proactively participated & successfully contributed in above course.  

Objectives of course:-

The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), an autonomous institution of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), is the apex National R&D institution in the field of Solar Energy. NISE is organizing “Suryamitra” skill development programmes in collaboration with State Nodal Agencies, at various locations across the country.

The programme aims to develop the skills of youth, considering the opportunities for employment in the growing Solar Energy Power project’s installation, operation & maintenance in India and abroad. The Suryamitra Programme is also designed to prepare the candidates to become new entrepreneurs in Solar Energy sector. The Suryamitra Skill Development Programmes are sponsored by Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Government of India.

Outcome of the Course

  • Solar PV Installer is specialized for mechanical, civil and electrical installations of Solar Power Plants as well as maintaining them properly and has the communication & soft skills.
