The department currently offers BE programs and is well geared to mould budding electrical power engineers to serve Electrical Utilities & Industries. The Department’s mission is:

Electricity is the prime input to enhance & enrich the economy of the nation and is also a measuring gauge of living standard. The Power sector, currently, is going through a mega transformation to meet the complex demand of industries, utilities and customer needs. Power generation, transmission, distribution and utilization processes are changing. Proper balancing of energy and environment for sustainable green future is the new concept which has lead to advancement in this sector through use of smart grid technology, artificial intelligence, automation and resilience of its dynamic stability coupled with inter disciplinary traits i.e. power electronics and computer science.

In view of this inevitable changing scenario, the teaching & learning structures have also been synchronized & the curriculum has been restructured to provide optimum comfort to utilities/industries. While imparting education comprising of best practices; innovative and creative technologies & trainings we strive towards making our students employable & help them gain brand equity of power engineering community.

The Department is planning to offer value added job oriented courses such as PLC & SCADA, ETAP, Instrumentation, etc;  Consultancy services and R&D folios including conceptualization, design, simulation, validation services & testing facilities
